Yolan Romailler, CSO of Randamu, is a seasoned applied cryptographer with a diverse background in cybersecurity. Before spearheading initiatives at Randamu, Yolan provided expertise as a consultant and software architect across a spectrum of companies – from FAANG giants to emerging startups. His experience encompasses cryptocurrency exchanges, permissioned blockchains, secure messaging, data encryption, and more.
A specialist in secure coding, digital signatures, digital currencies, and distributed systems, Yolan boasts an illustrious history of presenting at esteemed conferences including Black Hat USA, NorthSec, GopherCon, Real World Crypto, and DEF CON. His interests span automation in cryptography, programming languages, public key vulnerabilities, elliptic curves, post-quantum cryptography, and beyond. Among his notable contributions are the first practical fault attack against the EdDSA signature scheme and the full disclosure of the CurveBall vulnerability.
His more recent work focused on pairing-based cryptography, distributed key generation, and threshold systems, notably pioneering the first widely-deployed Timelock Encryption system.
